Yamaha R15 has been launched since 2008 basically. Since then, following the massive success of the bike, various versions of the Yamaha R15 bike have been phased out. Currently, the latest version of Yamaha R15 V4 has recently been launched in the global market including Bangladesh. In this regard, the current Yamaha R15 V4 bike carries the DNA of the legendary super sports bike YZF R1. That is, the R15 bike is a smaller, modernized version of the YZF R1. But the recently launched R15 V4 and R15M are almost identical in terms of features. So, let’s take a look at the features and brief evaluation of the Yamaha R15 V4 bike.

# First of all the design of the bike has changed a lot. So the bike now has a more attractive and aerodynamic design. This means that the bike is very muscular. But it can pass through air very easily.

# The Y-Connect Apps of the modern Yamaha R15 V4 can easily connect any smart phone to the instrument cluster of the bike. Where the rider can see important information like SMS and e-mail alerts, call alerts, and even phone battery level.

# The R15 V4 bike uses dual channel ABS as per Yamaha’s previous specifications. The Yamaha R15 V4 uses a 140mm radial rear wheel, which is very helpful for safe riding and braking.

# Not to mention the current new R15 V4 bike uses a beautifully designed dual-functional Full LED headlight. which is Class-D brightness. Newly designed aerodynamic front cowl. The modern design headlight gives the bike an attractive different look.

#As usual the Yamaha R15 V4 bike uses a SOHC, 155cc LC4V, FI engine. Which is capable of producing a maximum power of 13.5 kW, 18.4 PS. As usual, this engine also uses Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology.

# In this case, Yamaha has used “Assist & Slipper Clutch” technology as usual in this bike. This results in a smoother clutch pull.

# In particular, Yamaha used the quick shifter for the first time on the R15 V4 bike. Which perfectly helps to change gear without clutch.

As per tradition, Yamaha uses a 155cc engine in their bikes, which is a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve. The resulting engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 13.5kW (18.4PS) / 10000 RPM and a maximum torque of 14.2 Nm (1.4 kgfm) @ 7,500 RPM. Ideally the bike has a fuel capacity of 11 litres.
